As also known as Taiping civil war. It lasted from 1850 to 1864.The rebellion act was against Manchu controlled Qing Dynasty by millenarians, the society or group which is also known as God Worshipping Society. This religious society or movement was led by Hong Xiuquan. Their religion was unique interpretation of Christianity which includes some doctrines from Confucianism, Buddhism and Chinese folk religions. According to this belief, Hong Xiuquan was accepted as younger brother of Jesus Christ. On the other hand; Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China which ruled between 1644 and 1912. The rebellion was started in Guangxi province against persecutions to God Worshipped Society by Qing Dynasty soldiers. After that the rebellion turns into a huge civil war causing lives of over 30 million people. Many of the people are died from famine and plague caused by the war. War was ended with battle of Nanking which was a true massacre, over 100,000 people is butchered in only three days. God worshipping society was defeated and vanished with war. Important results: Sparked other rebellious movements in China, prevent spread of Christianism in China
