Trevi Fountain is another iconic symbol of the Rome. Maybe it is the most famous fountain in the world. Its name “Trevi” means in Italian “Three way”. It is actually located in the junction of three ways. The construction of the fountain is began in 1730 after a contest organized by Pope Clement XII. Nicola Salvi first designed the Fountain and started to build it, after its death in 1951 Pietro Bracci had completed the fountain. Official opening is made by the Pope. The Fountain is also very huge proportional to its fame. It is about 26 meters high and 49 meters wide. The Architecture of the fountain reveals both baroque and classical features.
